Kudle beach continues up to Paradise beach across Om beach and Half moon beach which are very popular amongst foreign tourists.
Beyond Paradise beach there are small beaches like Belikan where the Aganashini river meets the Arabian sea. Across the Aganashini river is Barka beach sandwiched by hills on either sides. The view from atop the hill after Barkha beach is awe inspiring with a 180 degree view of the tuqoise blue sea.
Apart from the four beaches seperated by small hillocks Kudle has the pilgrim town of Gokarna as its neighbour famous for the atmalinga shiva temple of Mahabaleshwar. Apart from the Mahabaleshwar Temple there is Maha Ganapathi Temple, Uma Maheshwari Temple, Bhadrakali Temple, Varadraj Temple, Tamra Gauri and Venkataramana Temple in Gokarna.
Half Moon Beach
Half moon beach - a crescent shaped cove is a rocky stretch and a very small stretch of beach on the way to full moon beach or Paradise beach. Half moon beach is also inaccessible by road and only means to reach other than on foot is by boat!
Gokarna - Land of Hippies and Sadhus!
Approximately 50 Kms from Karwar is Gokarna one of the primere beach destinations in Karnataka. With many secluded beaches and some of the most revered temples in Karnataka Gokarna has two shades about it. The tranquility of the temples is on one side and the vibrancy and youth of the tourist destination on the other and its prudent not to mix the two!
Paradise beach the farthest amongst the four popular beach destinations in Gokarna is also called the full moon beach. With rocky stretches interspread with sandy stretches Paradise beach is just the perfect place to enjoy a secluded holiday away from everything. Paradise beach is also a great stretch to camp out. The sea here is calm and the beach very clean. Open restaurant with seafood specialties and Barbeque are available in this beach. Paradise beach is accessible only by boat or trekking across the hillocks.
